Packaging & Material Handling Operator - Dodge City, KS
Job Summary:
Responsible for operating packing and material handling equipment to safely and efficiently load, move, and transport bulk and semi-bulk materials. This role includes loading semi-bulk trailers, supersacks, and railcars; operating various vehicles and equipment; and accurately completing required documentation.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate packing and bagging equipment according to safety and quality standards
- Load, unload, and move semi-bulk trailers
- Load, move, and handle supersacks safely
- Load and unload railcars with bulk materials
- Operate semi trucks, Trackmobile, and forklifts
- Perform material transfers and positioning as required
- Complete all required paperwork, logs, and shipping documentation accurately
- Conduct pre-operation equipment inspections and report maintenance issues
- Follow all safety, environmental, and company policies
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications & Skills:- Experience operating packing equipment and material handling machinery
- Ability to operate a forklift, semi truck, and Trackmobile (certification preferred)
- Knowledge of bulk material loading procedures
- Basic computer and paperwork/documentation skills
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift and move materials as required
Work Environment:- Industrial or plant setting
- Exposure to dust, noise, and outdoor conditions
- Requires standing, walking, and operating heavy equipment for extended periods
